PetSafe of Portland provides installation of PetSafe® transmitters and the perimeter wire loop. The transmitter for the perimeter loop is installed on an exterior wall with an available electric outlet close by. The most common location is in the garage or shed on the property. A twisted pair of wires is run underground from the transmitter to the perimeter wire.

The perimeter wire itself is usually buried in grass and landscaping areas light brushy areas. Where the underbrush is dense, the wire is usually threaded at ground level through the underbrush. The wire can also be attached to existing conventional fencing and the exterior of buildings.

PetSafe of Portland provides service on systems from all manufacturers. We have special equipment to locate breaks in your perimeter fence wire and repair them quickly.

Pets and pet owners need to be trained to properly use electronic fence equipment. We realize that most pet owners enjoy training their pet to stay within the boundary of the perimeter loop.

PetSafe of Portland will help you to understand the principles and methods of training your pet. During installation of your system, we perform 3 training sessions with your pet. You will need to be present for the third session so you can be instructed on carrying on training over the next few days. We can also provide further training assistance as needed.
